The world lost its mind when pop icon (and my childhood crush) Janet Jackson announced her new album and subsequent tour. However, I’d like to throw it all the way back to the Rhythm Nation-era, which birthed one of my favorite songs of all time: “Come Back To Me”.

I’m a sucker for a good ballad, and this one delivers: thoughtful lyrics, lush strings and background vocals led by a smooth groove. Not only that, but the music video perfectly captures the emotions of the song. The magic that Janet created with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis is unparalleled and I look forward to what they’ve cooked up for her upcoming album, due this fall.
