Most people cite Thriller as their favorite MJ record, but I always site HIStory as the one I appreciate the most. There is one solitary love song on the 15-track set; the others touch on racism, greed, the tabloid fodder he had faced since the 80’s, environmental awareness, and isolation.

I haven’t experienced a fraction of what MJ did, but I know what it feels like to feel completely alone.

I feel it is our duty as artists to pull on the heartstrings of our audience, and encourage thought and growth. In its understated brilliance, “Stranger In Moscow” does both.
