I have so much respect for Tori Kelly. I attended her show in Los Angeles last Thursday and was blown away. Not only did she sing live with a full band and no background singers, but whether she was belting or in her falsetto, she stayed in pitch the entire time. Beyond her live show, Tori’s vocal range and writing skills are impeccable.
Nevertheless, one of my favorite songs of hers is a slower one: “Paper Hearts”. The fourth track on her Foreword EP, this mellow tune is acoustic-pop perfection.
