I’ve had a major crush on Stacie Orrico since I was about 14 years old. She’s mostly known for her songs “Stuck” and “There’s Gotta Be More To Life“, but she came into her own with Beautiful Awakening, a dope pop/soul record that sounded more true to her than anything previously released.

The title song is one of my favorites from the project, which unfortunately wasn’t released in the US.

Since its U.S. shelving almost 10 years ago, Stacie has largely stayed out of the spotlight. It was released overseas, so you can find the import versions online.

For all the Stacie Orrico stans out there, I suggest we start a campaign to pressure Universal Music (who most likely owns the masters) to release the album digitally in the US. Until then, enjoy the album on YouTube.
